The International Skating Union (ISU) has published the list of participants for the 2025/2026 Grand Prix season, which includes Latvian figure skater Deniss Vasiļjevs. The 26-year-old athlete will take part in the China leg for the third consecutive year, scheduled for November in Shenzhen. It is not yet clear whether he will compete in any other Grand Prix events this season.

Vasiļjevs finished 21st at his tenth World Championships in March, ending his 11th season in elite skating. Throughout the past season, uncertainty surrounded his future career, and the skater himself has not publicly announced his plans. However, his inclusion in the ISU Grand Prix list means he has accepted the invitation to the China event, signaling his intention to continue competing.

The list also features three-time world champion Ilia Malinin, who will compete in the U.S. and Japan events. Malinin had previously expressed uncertainty about fully participating this season.
