Deceased Man Recovered from Water in Vecmīlgrāvis
On Saturday, rescuers recovered the body of a man from the Kundziņsala branch in Vecmīlgrāvis. He is believed to have fallen into the water on Friday, and a criminal investigation has been launched.
State Police reported that on Saturday, July 18, rescuers retrieved the body of a deceased man from the Kundziņsala branch near Meldru Street in Vecmīlgrāvis. The man was born in 1991.
According to police, the man likely fell into the water the previous day, Friday. A criminal investigation has been initiated to determine the circumstances of the incident.
Earlier, the State Fire and Rescue Service had searched the area at the request of police. Social media posts indicated that local residents had spotted the person in the water.
