Vegas Golden Knights Name Ryan Craig as New Head Coach
The Vegas Golden Knights have appointed Ryan Craig as head coach. Craig previously coached the AHL's Henderson Silver Knights for three seasons.

The Vegas Golden Knights, who reached the Stanley Cup Final this season, have chosen a new head coach. Canadian Ryan Craig will take the helm, having spent the last three seasons as head coach of the American Hockey League's Henderson Silver Knights.
Under Craig, the Silver Knights improved their performance each year. Prior to his AHL stint, he worked as an assistant coach for the Golden Knights and won a Stanley Cup with them. As a player, Craig appeared in 198 NHL games for the Tampa Bay Lightning, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Columbus Blue Jackets.
The coaching change follows the late March switch from Bruce Cassidy to John Tortorella. Under Tortorella, the team secured a playoff spot and advanced to the Stanley Cup Final, losing 2-4 to the Carolina Hurricanes.
