Election precinct commissions to hone information-system skills next week
From August 24 to 30, Latvia's election precinct commission staff will remotely practice using the election information systems ahead of the 15th Saeima election.

Latvia's Central Election Commission (CEC) told the LETA news agency that from Monday, August 24, through Sunday, August 30, election precinct commissions across the country are scheduled to carry out practical exercises with the information systems used during elections.
Commission staff will work with the systems remotely. If needed, they will be able to receive support from the CEC and the State Regional Development Agency responsible for digital development.
Building confidence with the systems
According to the CEC, the purpose of the practical exercises is to strengthen the skills of precinct commission employees so that they are familiar with the systems in advance and can use them confidently on election day.
The election for the 15th Saeima is scheduled for October 3.
