Over 50,000 Missing After Earthquakes in Venezuela
The death toll from the earthquakes in Venezuela has risen to 1,430, with over 50,000 people reported missing, according to authorities.

Venezuelan Parliament Speaker Jorge Rodriguez announced on Saturday that the earthquake death toll has reached 1,430, and at least 3,238 people have been injured. According to UN data, more than 50,000 people are considered missing.
On Wednesday evening, two powerful earthquakes with magnitudes of 7.2 and 7.5 struck near the coastal town of Morón, followed by approximately 30 aftershocks, causing further damage.
The quakes completely or partially destroyed hundreds of buildings. The hardest-hit states are Trujillo, Carabobo, Miranda, and La Guaira. A state of emergency has been declared to mobilize rescue and relief efforts.
