In just two days, Ventspils will host one of the most anticipated street sports events in the Baltics – the Ghetto Games festival (GGFEST). This year marks the 14th edition, taking place from July 24 to 26, turning Ventspils into the capital of the Baltics' most active weekend.

A press conference was held in Riga ahead of the festival, featuring Ghetto Games founder Raimonds Elbakjans, Olympic champion in 3x3 basketball Nauris Miezis, world-class inline skater Nils Jansons, and scooter freestyle athlete Lera Shterekhof. They presented this year's program and upcoming competitions.

Diverse Disciplines and Participants

Over the three days, athletes will compete in more than 20 disciplines, including 3x3 basketball, football, BMX freestyle, skateboarding, scooter freestyle, floorball, combat sports, tennis, disc golf, and e-sports. Participants have arrived from over 30 countries worldwide.

For Families and Youth

Organizers especially invite families with children – throughout the weekend, a children's zone will offer various activities and entertainment. Additionally, in cooperation with the Child Protection Center, a conference titled "Journey of Conversation" will be held, where experts, educators, parents, and youth workers will discuss youth addictions and behavioral issues.

Music and Food

An integral part of the festival is the Ghetto Food Festival, featuring street food. Evenings will be filled with music and DJ performances. Entry to all festival events is free.
