Sports competitions and entertainment

Ventspils will become the hub of street sports and culture this weekend as the Ghetto Games festival takes place from Friday to Sunday. Participants will compete in 20 sports, including 3x3 basketball, football, floorball, BMX freestyle, skateboarding, combat sports, tennis, disc golf, and e-sports. The event will feature both world-class athletes and young talents taking their first steps toward international success.

Children's zone and conference

Alongside the competitions, a children's zone will offer attractions, movement games, and activities for various ages. In collaboration with the Child Protection Center, a conference titled “Sarunu ceļojums” (Journey of Conversations) will be held, where experts, educators, parents, and youth workers will discuss addiction and behavioral issues among young people.

Street food and music

Throughout the weekend, visitors can enjoy a wide selection of street food and drinks at the “Ghetto Food Festival.” In the evenings, the energy will shift to the skatepark stage: Friday will feature Edgars Sniegs together with Pēteris Upelnieks, while Saturday will be headlined by the electronic music group “Might Delete Later.”

Ghetto Games founder Raimonds Elbakjans invites everyone to Ventspils, promising several special events and surprises. The full program is available on the official “GGFEST” website.
