The standout performer for Ventspils was Arturs Ausējs, who scored 27 points in the match, including six successful three-point shots. Teammate Kristofers Karlsons also made a strong contribution, hitting six three-pointers of his own during the game.

With this result, BK Ventspils celebrated its first victory of the new season, beating Latvijas Universitāte by a 16-point margin.
