Ventspils Free Port and insolvent "Ostas celtnieks" clash over half-million-euro debt

A dispute has developed in Ventspils between the free port authority and SIA "Ostas celtnieks," once one of the largest construction companies in the Kurzeme region, which is currently undergoing insolvency proceedings. At the heart of the conflict is an unpaid invoice for promenade construction work worth more than 480,000 euros.

Delayed deadlines

Another element of the dispute is a delay in completing the construction work — the project recorded 167 days behind the originally planned schedule. This delay is one of the factors shaping the mutual claims between the two parties.
