Fatal crash on Ventspils highway: truck driver likely missed car turning left
A fatal traffic accident occurred on the A10 Ventspils highway on Sunday, killing the driver of a car who, according to initial findings, was likely not at fault.

A tragic road accident took place on Sunday, August 16, on the A10 highway, also known as the Ventspils highway, resulting in the death of a car driver.
The following day, the Road Traffic Safety Directorate (CSDD) released a preliminary account of the incident, indicating that the deceased driver was probably not responsible for causing the crash.
According to the initial information, the driver of a truck apparently failed to notice the car ahead that was preparing to turn left. The truck struck the car from behind, and the force of the impact threw the car into the oncoming traffic lane.
