Ventspils Water Adventure Park to close water rides and spa zone for weeks of repairs
From September 14 to October 6, the water rides and spa zone at the Ventspils Water Adventure Park will be closed for annual maintenance work. Other parts of the facility will keep operating as usual.
The water rides and spa zone at the Ventspils Water Adventure Park will be closed to visitors from September 14 to October 6 for scheduled annual repairs and technical maintenance of equipment.
According to the Ventspils Olympic Centre, the timing was chosen because visitor numbers are at their lowest point of the year during this period, following the busy summer season.
Planned work
The repairs include replacing handrails on the spiral staircase, a major renovation of the men's shower area, and restoring water nozzles in the warm pool. Students and teachers from the Ventspils Art School will handle the visual design of the zone — a collaboration with the water park that has become a tradition.
Sports section unaffected
The park's sports section will continue operating without changes during the repair period. The large swimming pool has also resumed operations and is open to the public on a set schedule: weekdays from 8:00 to 15:00 and 18:00 to 21:00, and weekends from 9:00 to 21:00. The small pool, however, is currently available only for organized group sessions.
The park's athletics hall remains open to visitors on weekdays from 8:00 to 21:00 and on weekends from 9:00 to 21:00.
