Verstappen overtakes all 100 amateurs in special go-kart race
F1 world champion Max Verstappen took part in a special go-kart race against 100 amateur drivers and overtook all of them within 35 minutes. Latvian content creator Roberts Vītols was among the participants.
Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen took part in an unusual go-kart event where he had to overtake 100 amateur drivers. He fully succeeded, passing every competitor within 35 minutes.
During the first half of the race, amateurs were allowed to use a so-called "fast lap" shortcut, but this posed little trouble for Verstappen. In the very first lap alone, he overtook 64 drivers, showing a clear gap in skill compared to the amateur field.
Among Verstappen's 100 rivals was one representative from Latvia – content creator Roberts Vītols.
A thrilling finish
The race ended with an exciting battle for the final positions, as Verstappen still had three drivers left to pass – content creator Zak Alsop, journalist Jackie Martens, and Red Bull employee Lewis Osler. All three were successfully overtaken, and Verstappen finished the event as the winner.
Afterward, Verstappen shared his impressions, saying the first lap was pure chaos where the main goal was simply to survive amid so many drivers on track. As the race progressed, things became easier, and the process felt more like deliberately hunting down opponents one at a time.
