Storm warnings prompt postponement of several Saturday events
Forecasters' storm warnings have led organizers to reschedule several events planned for Saturday, including the Mesa and GACHO concert in Mežaparks, the Jelgava night half-marathon, and the "Row Baltics" festival.

Due to an approaching storm, organizers of several events originally scheduled for Saturday have decided to change their dates in order to protect the safety of attendees.
"Row Baltics" moved to Sunday
The Baltic street art and culture festival "Row Baltics", initially set for Saturday, will now take place on Sunday from 12:00 to 22:00. Organizer representative Līna Birzaka said the program itself will not change. The festival brings together street artists from Latvia and abroad, representatives of hip-hop culture, BMX and skateboard athletes, dancers, musicians and urban culture enthusiasts. Its highlight will be a large-scale, 400-square-metre mural painted by Baltic and international artists under the direction of Dainis Rudens, along with a beatmaking battle featuring original beats presented by 12 beatmakers from the Baltic states.
Jelgava half-marathon postponed to September
The Jelgava night half-marathon will also not go ahead on Saturday because of the storm forecast. Organizers, together with responsible services and the municipality, decided to move the sporting event to September 5, prioritizing participant safety.
Mežaparks concert shifted to Sunday
The joint concert "Roku Rokā" by Mesa and GACHO in Mežaparks has also been rescheduled, moving from Saturday to August 23. Tickets already purchased remain valid for the new date and will not need to be exchanged. Both the venue and the program remain unchanged. All ticket holders will be notified individually by email about the change. Those unable to attend on August 23 will be able to get a refund for their tickets.
