Storm damage forces cancellation of the 18th All-Latvia Horse Days
The All-Latvia Horse Days event, planned in Inčukalns, has been cancelled due to storm damage. Organizers are urging support for the worst-affected stables and horse farms.

The 18th edition of the All-Latvia Horse Days event has been cancelled after a powerful storm caused damage in the area where it was set to take place. The event, planned to be held in Inčukalns, was organized by the "Jauno jātnieku skola" (Young Riders' School) association with support from the Sigulda municipality.
Organizers thanked everyone connected to the preparations, including athletes, horse owners, trainers, their families, supporters, partner organizations, and spectators who had shown interest in the event. They noted that the decision to cancel was made because the conditions left by the storm did not allow for a safe and proper event to take place.
Hope for next year
Inese Jaudzema, a representative of the organizing association, expressed hope that next year everyone could gather in Inčukalns under much better conditions and carry out the full program that had been planned for this year. She called on the public to show understanding regarding the situation.
At the same time, organizers pointed out that the storm affected different horse-keeping facilities unevenly, with some stables and horse farms suffering more severe damage than others. They therefore appealed to the public to support, where possible, those stables and farms that were hit hardest by the storm.
The source text does not specify whether or when the event might be rescheduled this year.
