The first stage of the Acropolis Rally was a short test of less than two kilometers. Sébastien Ogier (Toyota) posted the fastest time, one second ahead of teammate Takamoto Katsuta and 1.1 seconds ahead of Thierry Neuville (Hyundai).
Sesks and Francis were 3.5 seconds behind the leader, which placed them 10th in the WRC class out of 12 entries and 13th overall across all classes.
The rally continues on Friday and Saturday with six stages each day, concluding on Sunday with four more stages. Live coverage is available on Go3 Sport 1.
After Greece, the Latvian crew plans to compete in four more WRC rounds this season: Estonia (July 16–19), Finland (July 30–August 2), Italy (October 1–4), and possibly Saudi Arabia (November 11–14). Their season began in Sweden with tire punctures and technical issues, followed by a ninth-place finish in Portugal.
M-Sport Ford has selected two Irish drivers for the full season. Sesks and Francis made their WRC debut in 2024, finishing seventh in the home round in Latvia.
