Baltic Chain Tour cycling race to pass through Vidzeme this weekend
The internationally recognized multi-day cycling race "Baltic Chain Tour", featuring Latvia's national team, starts this Friday in Vidzeme, while the 36th Unity Cycling Race is set for early September.

This weekend, several towns in Latvia's Vidzeme region will host a professional cycling event. On Friday, the multi-day "Baltic Chain Tour" race gets underway, an internationally recognized competition dedicated to the memory of the Baltic Way. Riders from Latvia's national cycling team are among the participants.
The race brings together professional cyclists who will compete over several days, passing through various towns across Vidzeme.
Unity Cycling Race in September
Another notable event on the cycling calendar is scheduled for early September — the 36th edition of the Unity Cycling Race. This year's race carries special significance, as it will mark the 140th anniversary of the Latvian Cycling Federation.
Both events highlight the strong and enduring cycling traditions in Latvia, particularly in the Vidzeme region, which continue to attract both local and international participants.
