17 babies born at Vidzeme Hospital in one week
Between September 7 and 13, Vidzeme Hospital welcomed 17 newborns — 8 girls and 9 boys. Most of the families come from municipalities outside Valmiera city itself.

Vidzeme Hospital recorded the birth of 17 babies between September 7 and 13, according to information provided to the "Valmieras Ziņas" portal by the hospital's public relations and marketing specialist, Agnija Upīte.
Among the newborns were eight girls and nine boys.
Where the families live
Of all the newborns, one baby belongs to a family from Valmiera itself. Another baby was born into a family from Brenguļi parish, one from Jeri parish, and one from Naukšēni parish. Two babies were born to families living in Trikāta parish.
This means that most of the newborns come from families in surrounding rural municipalities rather than from Valmiera city proper.
