Coolfly's Solar-Powered Aura Smart Bird Feeder Is Nearly Half Price
Coolfly's camera-equipped Aura Smart Bird Feeder is on sale for $149.90, which is $140 off. Discounts also apply to a Birdfy feeder, a JBL speaker, a Baseus dock and Govee curtain lights.
Tech site The Verge reports limited-time discounts on smart bird feeders with built-in cameras, which let people watch birds from indoors. Coolfly's Aura Smart Bird Feeder currently costs $149.90, or $140 less than usual. The rival Birdfy feeder costs $109.99 at Amazon or from Birdfy itself, a saving of $90.
How the two feeders differ
The Verge's Jennifer Pattison Tuohy described the Aura as an impressive package. She praised its large seed hopper, exceptional battery life and dual solar panels. She also liked the side-mounted camera, which gives a more natural and wider view than many other smart feeders. It records up to 2.5K video with a 150-degree field of view, offers full-color night vision, cloud and local storage, and AI identification of more than 10,000 bird species. No subscription is needed.
The Birdfy feeder is cheaper and shares many features: 2K video, night vision and identification of more than 6,000 species. Users can watch visiting birds on a phone, set alerts for arrivals and view cloud recordings. Unlike the Aura, solar charging and lifetime AI identification are not included by default. Without a bundle, the subscription costs $49.99 a year. A solar panel can be added for $20 extra, while a bundle with the panel and lifetime identification costs $149.99, or $110 off.
