Smart TV OS maker Titan OS raises $46 million to expand internationally
Barcelona-based smart TV operating system developer Titan OS has raised $46 million in new funding to enter more markets. Its software now reaches 30 million users.

Titan OS, a smart TV operating system developer based in Barcelona, Spain, announced on Wednesday that it has raised $46 million in new funding, a mix of equity and debt. The company says it could have grown slowly without outside money but wants to build more partnerships and expand into more regions.
The debt facilities come from funds and accounts managed by investment firm BlackRock. Existing investors, including Highland Europe and Mangrove Capital Partners, also took part. The company raised $58 million last year, bringing its total funding to $110 million.
How the business works
Titan OS offers TV makers a way to earn more from each set sold. Manufacturers can generate revenue on the operating system through partnerships with FAST channels (free ad-supported television) and ads shown on different screens.
The user base has grown from 18 million to 30 million. Titan OS is a sales partner for TiVo in some regions and for Tubi in the UK. Sharp, AOC, Vestel and Skyworth joined as partners over the past year. Dutch electronics maker Philips has dropped Google TV for its 2026 models and moved to Titan OS.
Headcount has risen to 250, and a new London office focuses on advertising. The company also has offices in Barcelona, Amsterdam and Taipei.
Priorities
Newly appointed CFO Hyoungung Kim said wider reach attracts more sales partners and agencies. Tobias Pfalzgraff, the company's SVP of people and marketing, said one focus is content discovery. He argued that Titan OS is impartial because it has no content offering of its own, and it is trying to cut search time through interface tweaks and AI. AI is also used to improve ad recommendations and segmentation.
Kim added that rising chip prices amid the AI boom have led manufacturers to lean even more on such partnerships.
