This year marks the 33rd edition of the Viljandi Folk Music Festival, which has grown over the years. The festival's theme focuses on musical instruments, with a hands-on area where visitors can try traditional folk instruments. About 60 bands and solo artists participated in the traditional opening parade through the southern Estonian town.
Expected Record Attendance
Last year, the festival attracted 38,000 visitors. Organizers expect to break the previous attendance and ticket sales record this year. The festival concludes at midnight on Sunday.
