Vilnius to host first eBay Baltic Export Summit

Vilnius will host the first “eBay Baltic Export Summit,” a free event expected to become the largest gathering “eBay” has ever organized in the Baltic region. Around 1,000 participants from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and other European markets are expected to attend.

The summit comes as more Baltic companies look for growth opportunities beyond their relatively small domestic markets. More than 15,000 businesses across the Baltics already use “eBay” to reach buyers worldwide.

Program and goals

More than 20 industry experts will take part, with over 10 sessions planned and more than 10 ecosystem partners represented. The program includes talks on international growth and the future of e-commerce, practical workshops on building cross-border trade, and masterclasses on high-potential sectors such as auto parts, fashion, collectibles and recommerce. The event will also feature the “Baltic Top Seller Awards,” recognizing the region's leading exporters.

The summit builds on “eBay's” earlier Baltic initiatives, including the “Go Global” export seminars held earlier this year, as well as partnerships with Lithuania's and Latvia's postal services.

“eBay's” global head of emerging markets, Vidmay Naini, said Baltic countries have ambitious entrepreneurs and export-ready products, but small domestic markets mean many businesses need to look beyond national borders, with e-commerce offering a practical path forward.

Through “eBay,” businesses can reach 136 million active buyers across 190 markets. In 2025, the platform recorded $79.6 billion in gross merchandise volume, with about 2.5 billion active listings. For Baltic companies, particularly promising categories include auto parts, fashion and apparel, collectibles and refurbished technology.
