Tragic crash in Vilnius kills two young people; driver is a 19-year-old girl
On July 4 in Vilnius, a 19-year-old girl driving a BMW crashed into a light pole, killing two passengers. Witnesses say the car was racing at least 120 km/h, and the driver had alcohol in her blood.

Tragedy in the Lithuanian capital
On July 4 of this year, a severe traffic accident occurred in Vilnius, claiming the lives of two young people. The crash was caused by a 19-year-old girl driving a BMW 530e. The vehicle struck a light pole and caught fire.
Circumstances of the accident
According to witnesses, the BMW had been involved in an illegal street race with another car, speeding at least 120 km/h before the crash. At the scene, screams and a loud impact were heard, smoke rose from the car. Two passengers died: a girl born in 2007 and a boy born in 2005.
Condition of the driver
The suspect behind the wheel is a girl born in 2007, who had 0.58 promille of alcohol in her blood. It is known that the driver and one of the victims had met only 10 minutes before the tragedy.
