Overnight into Tuesday, a possible air threat alert was issued again for the Vilnius district in Lithuania. The news was reported by Lithuanian media outlet "Lrytas", citing a statement from the Lithuanian armed forces.

Residents of the district received official warning messages on their mobile phones indicating a yellow threat level. The notifications stated that a drone may have been detected in the area.

Residents urged to stay cautious

People were advised to identify in advance a safe place where they could take shelter if necessary. The warning also stressed that anyone who spots a suspicious object should not approach it, and should instead call the emergency number 112 immediately.

The Lithuanian army confirmed that the current alert applies specifically to the Vilnius district. Military officials have not yet released further details about the possible object's type, exact location, or origin.

Such alerts have become increasingly common in Lithuania recently, and authorities continue to urge the public to follow safety guidance whenever a similar warning is issued.
