Ostapenko to face home favorite in Wimbledon first round
Aļona Ostapenko will play against Britain's Harriet Dart in the first round of Wimbledon, while Darja Semenistaja hopes to enter the main draw as a lucky loser.

The Wimbledon women's singles draw has been revealed. Latvian tennis player Aļona Ostapenko, currently ranked 35th in the WTA, will face home player Harriet Dart (ranked 551st) in the first round. The two met three years ago on grass at Eastbourne, where Ostapenko won decisively 6:3, 6:4. If the Latvian advances, her next opponent will be either Croatia's Antonia Ruzic (ranked 60th) or Britain's Emma Raducanu (ranked 32nd), who has been struggling with health issues.
Meanwhile, Latvia's second-ranked player Darja Semenistaja (WTA 102.) lost in the final qualifying round yesterday but still hopes to enter the main draw as a lucky loser, which would happen if any main-draw player withdraws.
Wimbledon is the premier grass-court tournament of the season, running from June 29 to July 12. Participants compete for ranking points and substantial prize money.
