The fuel retail company AS Virši-A wants to obtain long-term use (lease) rights to four filling stations. SIA Astarte-nafta has so far used these stations in its business operations. The planned deal was reported by the Competition Council (KP), the Latvian authority that oversees fair competition in the market.

The source states only the intention itself: Virši-A plans to take over the right to use four stations that were operated by Astarte-nafta. It does not say where the stations are located, how large the deal is, or when it might be completed.

The notification to the Competition Council means the planned takeover has come to the authority's attention. The source does not say what the council will decide.
