Latvian energy retailer AS “VIRŠI-A” has completed the takeover of 17 fuel stations that previously operated under the “Astarte” brand. The stations were owned by SIA “Naftimpeks”. According to company representative Mārtiņš Eihmanis, the newly added stations are located in Eleja, Tērvete, Brankstūri, Tukums, Dobele, Aizpute, Roja, Iecava, Baldone, Līvāni, Klintaine, Tīreļi, Aknīste, Viesīte, Ķegums, and two stations in Jelgava. Among them is a station in Klintaine parish opposite the “Liepkalni” bakery.

Currently, reconstruction and visual identity adaptation works are underway at the acquired stations, aiming for full Virši branding by the end of the year. While the renovations are ongoing, the stations are already operating under the Virši brand, ensuring uninterrupted service for customers.

Jānis Vība, Chairman of the Board of Virši, stated that this transition is a significant step for the company’s development. “With the acquisition of these 17 stations, the Virši network now includes 101 fuel stations,” he said. Vība emphasized that the handover is being carried out gradually and thoughtfully, with substantial investments in modernization to boost market share and achieve long-term strategic goals.
