Rescue operations continue in Vyshneve after Russian strike; secondary blast kills 7
In Vyshneve, Kyiv region, a secondary detonation following a Russian missile attack has killed 7 people and injured 26. Emergency services are still extinguishing fires and clearing debris.

State Emergency Service (DSNS) rescuers are still working at the site of a Russian missile strike in Vyshneve, Kyiv region, where a secondary detonation occurred. The explosion killed 7 people and injured another 26.
The attack destroyed private residential buildings and damaged business, administrative, and industrial facilities. DSNS specialists continue to extinguish pockets of fire, dismantle damaged structures, and sweep the area for explosive ordnance. Canine teams are also deployed.
Aviation is assisting firefighting: a DSNS helicopter has made over 30 water drops. In total, about 200 rescuers and 55 units of special equipment are involved. Psychologists are on site providing support to the affected.
Background: On the night of July 6, Russia launched a massive combined attack on Ukraine using attack drones and various types of missiles. Air defense neutralized 363 out of 419 launched targets. 29 ballistic missiles and 18 drones hit 34 locations. In Vyshneve, due to the threat of secondary detonation, nearly 500 residents were evacuated.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated he expects the SBU and intelligence to conduct a thorough investigation. Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko called the destruction of residential housing in Vyshneve the largest since the full-scale invasion began, with 13 hectares of residential buildings damaged. According to the head of the Kyiv Regional Administration, the overall attack on the region killed 9 people and injured 58.
