Kristers Landzāns, a candidate for Latvia's men's national volleyball team, is continuing his career in Finland, joining top-division club Tuto Volley in Turku. The club announced the move, noting that the contract with the Latvian player has been signed for one season.

The 21-year-old Landzāns plays as an opposite hitter. Last season he played for a club in Austria. Right now, his focus is on preparing for the European Championship finals, which are set to begin next week. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, Landzāns is expected to earn a spot in Latvia's national squad for the tournament.

New chapter in Finland

After the European Championship, Landzāns will join Tuto Volley. The club finished last season in eighth place in the Finnish championship, while reaching the semifinals of the Finnish Cup.

Another Latvian, Toms Emīls Liepa, is also part of Tuto Volley's roster. The team's head coach will be Estonian Tauno Lips.
