Volkswagen has launched the entry-level Trend trim of its new electric ID.Polo, priced at €24,995 in Germany. This is the most affordable version, promised at the model's premiere but initially available only in higher trims.

The base version features an 85 kW electric motor and a 37 kWh LFP battery, delivering up to 323 kilometers of range on the WLTP cycle. While it is primarily suited for daily city driving, it supports DC fast charging at up to 88 kW, allowing a 10-80% charge in about 23 minutes.

Standard equipment includes LED headlights, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, a 13-inch infotainment system, climate control, a multifunction steering wheel with leatherette upholstery, and several driver assistance systems such as lane keeping and blind spot assist.

The Trend version is now available in Germany and several other European countries, including France and the Netherlands. It will also be offered in Latvia, making it the most affordable variant in the lineup.
