Volkswagen is grappling with a severe crisis, with 100,000 jobs at risk worldwide and four German plants potentially facing permanent closure. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has convened a cabinet meeting in the secure conference room of the Defense Ministry. Rixa Fürsen reports that this session aims to advance two key laws: a construction turbo for barracks and the exemption of reservists from work.
