Volkswagen Tiguan 20 Edition: Anniversary Model with Special Equipment and Design
Volkswagen has launched a special 20th anniversary edition of the Tiguan called '20 Edition', featuring enhanced equipment and exclusive design elements.
Volkswagen is honoring one of its most successful models by introducing a special anniversary version of the Tiguan, named "20 Edition". This model combines richer equipment, exclusive design accents, and a sportier look while maintaining the Tiguan's characteristic practicality.
The anniversary edition is available with all engine options starting from 150 hp and comes standard with the R-Line exterior package. A distinctive feature is the new body color Maple Red Metallic, along with several exclusive design touches. These include bumper decorative strips in the body color, gloss black window trim and mirror caps, tinted rear side windows, a black Tiguan badge on the tailgate, and a laser-engraved B-pillar plate reading "Edition 20". When the doors are opened, a projection of the anniversary logo appears on the ground.
Inside, the cabin features contrasting red decorative stitching on the instrument panel, door trim, seat upholstery, and floor mats. Additionally, illuminated door sill plates with "Edition 20" lettering and a multi-function steering wheel with a special anniversary emblem are included.
The Volkswagen Tiguan 20 Edition is based on the Tiguan Life trim but offers significantly more equipment and a more visually expressive design. In Germany, the starting price for this model is €48,180.
Since its first generation debuted in 2007, the Tiguan has become one of Volkswagen's most important vehicles, with over nine million units sold worldwide. The first generation helped the company establish itself in the compact SUV segment. The second generation, introduced in 2016, brought the MQB platform, more interior space, and advanced technologies. The current third generation features a modernized interior, digital technologies, next-generation driver assistance systems, and efficient powertrains including petrol, diesel, mild hybrid, and plug-in hybrid options.
