Warzone to get a button that hides all the goofy skins

Call of Duty developers are preparing a new option for players tired of seeing outlandish costumes in the middle of firefights. Season 1 of Modern Warfare 4 will introduce a toggle for the Warzone mode that replaces skins acquired from other parts of the CoD universe with standard Operator appearances.

How it works

The toggle will be off by default and won't change how a player appears to others in the match. Even with the setting enabled, a player's own chosen skin still displays normally, meaning someone could remain the sole unusual-looking character while everyone else appears in standard gear.

Background

Over the years, the popular shooter has let players take on all kinds of appearances, from Rambo to the animated characters Beavis and Butt-Head. As a result, matches have at times looked thoroughly ridiculous, including encounters with a furry creature known as Wubz.

Players who prefer a more serious tone in their matches are expected to welcome the new option.
