Wings Claim Victory in Seattle, Laksa Scoreless for Second Straight Game

The Dallas Wings secured a 103:91 road victory over the Seattle Storm, closing out their regular season with a record of 27 wins in 44 games — a new club record for both total wins and winning percentage.

Latvian basketball player Laksa spent six minutes and 17 seconds on the court but again failed to score, missing all three three-point attempts she took. She committed one turnover, picked up two personal fouls, and finished the game with a plus-minus rating of -15.

Game flow

Dallas started the game strongly, building a 17-point lead in the first quarter (29:12). Seattle cut the gap to seven points by halftime (42:49), but the Wings pushed their advantage back up to 13 points in the third quarter (76:63). In the final ten minutes, the Storm were unable to meaningfully close the gap.

Paige Bueckers led the Wings with 25 points, going 9-for-15 from the field while adding seven assists and five rebounds. Arike Ogunbowale scored 23 points with six assists, and Jessica Shepard recorded a triple-double of 20 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists. Dallas shot 56.5% from the field overall and made nine of 18 three-point attempts.

For Seattle, Dominika Malonga led the way with 29 points and eight rebounds, while Ava Famaa added 22 points and seven rebounds.

Records

Compared to the 2025 season, Dallas won 17 more games this year — the largest single-season turnaround in WNBA history. Wings head coach Jose Fernandez also set a league record for the largest win-total improvement in a coach's debut season.
