X rolls out faster web app, launching country by country
Social network X has started releasing an updated web app that it says is much faster than before. The rollout is happening "one country at a time" for signed-in users.

Social network X, formerly known as Twitter, has begun releasing a new version of its web app that the company describes as considerably faster than the previous one. The updated app is being rolled out "one country at a time" and is aimed at users who are signed in to their accounts.
Principal engineer Yagiz Nizipli gave a concrete example in a blog post. When a profile is opened on X.com over a slow connection, the old version showed only the X logo for more than 22 seconds before the first post appeared. In the new version, the post appears in 2.7 seconds.
Technical changes
The blog post also describes changes under the hood. The updated app replaces three servers that the company previously ran for people, search crawlers and link previews with a single one.
Nizipli said the new app is already available for the logged-out version of X.com, as well as for pages that are crawled by search engines.
Early reactions
Security researcher Jane Manchun Wong posted that she had access to the updated app. According to her, it "feels snappy, loads fast and many parts are polished."
The source does not say which countries will receive the new version first or when the rollout will be completed.
