Microsoft has announced new Xbox console prices for the European Union and the UK, following a June update that initially covered the US market. Depending on the model, the increase reaches €200 or £170.

The 1TB Xbox Series X with a disc drive has risen by more than 30 percent, from £499.99 / €599.99 to £669.99 / €799.99. The 512GB Xbox Series S has gone up by over 43 percent, from £299.99 / €349.99 to £429.99 / €499.99.

The price hikes are linked to soaring costs for RAM and storage, driven by demand from the artificial intelligence industry. While other console makers have also raised prices, Microsoft’s increases are notably steep. This marks the third round of price rises since May 2025. The top-tier model now costs $300 more than its original launch price of $499.99 in 2020. Microsoft is also retiring the 2TB model because of the storage component crunch.

Here is the full list of changes:

  • 512GB Xbox Series S: from €349.99 / £299.99 to €499.99 / £429.99
  • 1TB Xbox Series S: from €399.99 / £349.99 to €599.99 / £519.99
  • 1TB Xbox Series X Digital: from €549.99 / £449.99 to €749.99 / £619.99
  • 1TB Xbox Series X Disc: from €599.99 / £499.99 to €799.99 / £669.99
