Yoto unveils new generation of kids' audio devices with higher prices
Yoto has introduced a fourth-generation Yoto Player and an updated Yoto Mini, offering more storage and easier controls for children, but both devices now cost more.

Children's audio device maker Yoto has released two new products: a fourth-generation Yoto Player and a refreshed Yoto Mini. Both feature a large green button or dial that lets kids quickly access their favorite podcasts, stories and songs.
Yoto Player gets new features
The new Yoto Player keeps its pixel display but adds a large green twistable dial that provides access to up to 20 pieces of content directly from the device, without needing to borrow a parent's phone. This works even without Yoto Cards, the small NFC keys normally inserted into the player to unlock specific content. The software has also been upgraded to make setting up routines easier — parents can configure a routine once, and the device will automatically adjust things like the display graphics to match the time of day. The hardware has been redesigned to be easier for small hands, storage has increased to 64GB, downloads should be faster, and the nightlight panel has been improved. The new Yoto Player is priced at $150, up from $110. It is available for pre-order now, with shipping starting October 15.
Yoto Mini becomes more rugged
The cheaper, smaller Yoto Mini has also received a hardware refresh, now built to be water- and dust-resistant and able to withstand playground use and everyday mishaps. It gains the same green button for card-free content access. The device offers storage for around 1,000 hours of audio and works with both wired and Bluetooth headphones. Its price has risen from $80 to $110. It is available for pre-order now, with shipping starting September 30.
The company is also introducing new accessories, including scratch-resistant cases for both devices in four colors, along with a wireless dock and a Yoto Card case still in development, for which pricing and availability have not yet been announced.
