YouTube has announced a multi-year deal with NBCUniversal that will bring Peacock's ad-supported content to YouTube Premium subscribers starting in 2027. The integration will allow users to stream Peacock's TV shows, movies, and live sports directly through the YouTube app.

The move makes YouTube Premium more attractive, as it costs $15.99 per month, while a standalone Peacock subscription starts at $10.99 per month for the ad-supported plan. YouTube spokesperson Jessica Gibby confirmed to The Verge that Peacock will be included in the standard Premium subscription.

The deal comes at a pivotal time for Peacock, which is separating from Comcast's broadband business alongside NBCUniversal and Sky. Matt Strauss, chairman of NBCUniversal's media group, said the agreement will boost Peacock's "next phase of growth by bringing the service to millions of YouTube Premium subscribers."

YouTube revealed it had 125 million Premium and Music subscribers in 2025, while Comcast reported Peacock had 48 million subscribers in the US. Peacock also turned a profit for the first time last quarter. As part of the deal, NBCUniversal will stream "a selection of live sporting events" on YouTube and is extending its distribution agreement with YouTube TV.
