Russian Strikes on Zaporizhzhia Region Over Past Day Kill One Person, Injure Two
Russian forces carried out 935 strikes on 51 settlements in Ukraine's southeastern Zaporizhzhia region over the past 24 hours. One person was killed and two were wounded.
Russian forces struck Ukraine's southeastern Zaporizhzhia region 935 times over the past day, amid Russia's ongoing full-scale war against Ukraine. The attacks hit 51 settlements. One person was killed and two others were injured.
The figures were published on social media by Ivan Fedorov, co-chair of the Zaporizhzhia regional Defence Council.
Types of attacks
Fedorov said Russian forces carried out 15 air strikes, including on Komyshuvakha, Novorozivka, Odarivka, Zhovta Kruchа, Novooleksandrivka, Liubymivka, Lystivka, Vilniansk, Vasylivske, Preobrazhenka and Omelnyk.
Drones accounted for most of the attacks: 745 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types, mainly FPV drones, targeted Zaporizhzhia city, Malokaterynivka, Richne, Kushuhum, Chervonodniprovka, Bilenke, Orikhiv and many other settlements.
In addition, 175 artillery strikes were recorded on several dozen localities, among them Richne, Hryhorivka, Veselianka, Mahdalynivka, Stepnohirsk, Plavni, Prymorske, Orikhiv, Omelnyk and Nove Zaporizhzhia.
Damage
The attacks also caused property damage. According to reports, 69 notifications were received about damaged homes, vehicles and infrastructure facilities.
