Zeekr 9X: Nearly 900-HP Luxury Hybrid SUV Heading to Europe from €119,500
Chinese brand Zeekr is bringing its most powerful model yet, the 9X hybrid SUV with nearly 900 horsepower, to the European market starting at €119,500. The car will have its European debut at the Monaco Yacht Show on September 23.
Geely-owned brand Zeekr is preparing to launch its most powerful model to date in Europe — the large 9X SUV, positioned to compete with premium manufacturers such as Range Rover and Bentley. The model was unveiled in China last year, but European audiences will see it for the first time at the Monaco Yacht Show, opening on September 23.
Size and engineering
The car measures just over five meters in length, 2.03 meters in width, with a 3.17-meter wheelbase. The Zeekr 9X is built on a new-generation 900-volt electrical platform and uses a range-extender hybrid setup combining two electric motors delivering a combined 897 horsepower with a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine that functions purely as a generator. The wheels are always driven by the electric motors.
A 55 kWh battery allows up to 179 kilometers of electric-only range, while total range can reach 737 kilometers. Fast charging tops the battery up from 10 to 80 percent in under ten minutes. Despite weighing nearly three tons, the SUV accelerates to 100 km/h in just over four seconds and reaches a top speed of 240 km/h.
Features and interior
The model comes with all-wheel drive, multiple driving modes including an off-road setting, and air suspension with electronically adjustable dampers. It can tow trailers weighing up to two tons. Cargo capacity ranges from 677 to 2,148 liters depending on seat configuration.
The cabin emphasizes technology and comfort, featuring a digital instrument display, a large central touchscreen, and an extensive head-up display projecting information onto the windshield. Rear passengers get a movable screen and a temperature-controlled beverage compartment, while leather and wood trim complete the interior.
The European version, the Ultra AWD, will be offered in a six-seat configuration, with prices starting at €119,500.
