Zelenskyy: Ukraine updates list of long-range strike targets in Russia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the list of priority targets for long-range strikes on Russian territory has been updated following a meeting on the issue. The targets were selected based on their actual impact on Russia's ability to continue the war.

Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine's main goal is to use long-range pressure to push Russia toward diplomacy by disrupting weapons component production, inflicting oil-related and other economic losses. He added that Ukraine's plan for long-range sanctions against Russia is being implemented according to set priorities.

Ukraine can now strike targets more than 3,000 kilometers away, and work is ongoing to extend this capability further. The president noted that Russia's strategic depth, once an advantage, is becoming a problem as most air defense systems are concentrated around Moscow, state residences, the Crimean Bridge, and St. Petersburg.

Since the start of the year, Ukraine has carried out over 1,000 long-range strike missions, targeting oil facilities, critical military production sites, and strategically important logistics infrastructure.

The meeting was attended by new Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine's Armed Forces Mykhailo Drapatyi and acting Defence Minister Yevhenii Khmara.
