On the night of 18-19 July, Russia launched one of its largest attacks on Kyiv using ballistic missiles. Over 40 missiles struck the Ukrainian capital in less than an hour. The attack caused fires in residential buildings, a shopping center, and other structures, as well as vehicles. An 89-year-old woman was killed, and 17 people were injured.

In his address, President Zelenskyy emphasized that Russia is betting on ballistic missiles, and that is why Putin still believes in his war. He noted that the threat remains and must be taken into account. Zelenskyy expects Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other officials to promptly engage with partners regarding already agreed aid packages. "It is important to accelerate everything – both with our European partners and with the United States. The result is needed every day," he added.
