Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed decrees appointing acting heads of the Kyiv and Mykolaiv Oblast State Administrations. Ruslan Oliynyk was appointed acting head of Kyiv Oblast, and Heorhiy Reshetilov – acting head of Mykolaiv Oblast. At the same time, the president dismissed the previous heads: Mykola Kalashnyk from Kyiv Oblast and Vitaliy Kim from Mykolaiv Oblast.

These changes coincide with the July 16 vote in the Verkhovna Rada, where Kalashnyk was approved as Minister of Recovery, Infrastructure and Transport, and Kim as Minister of Veterans Affairs. On the same day, the Rada elected Serhiy Koretsky, former head of Naftogaz and Ukrnafta, as Prime Minister and approved the new Cabinet of Ministers.

The dismissal of former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov led to protests near the President's Office.
