Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sunday that two discussions with special representatives of US President Donald Trump had already taken place in Kyiv, with a third one expected soon. He was quoted by the outlet "Yevropeiska Pravda", citing both his own statements and his social media posts.

Talks with Witkoff and Kushner

According to Zelensky, the discussions are being held with Trump's special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. "We have held two discussions. I am very glad that we are now approaching a third one," Zelensky said.

European partners to join next round

Later, in a social media post, Zelensky clarified that the next round of negotiations would include not only US representatives but also delegates from Britain, France and Germany.

Background

After the first round of talks, speaking to the press, Kushner said Trump had firm intentions to end the war. Zelensky had earlier indicated that several negotiating sessions would take place in Kyiv: first with the US president's envoys, and then with negotiators from France, Britain and Germany joining.
