Zelenskyy: Russia Has Rejected Dozens of Ukrainian Proposals to End War in 2026 Alone
Ukraine has repeatedly proposed ending the war to Russia in 2026, but Moscow has rejected all offers, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated in his evening address that Russia has rejected dozens of Ukrainian proposals to end the war in 2026 alone. According to him, Moscow has long had every opportunity to turn to diplomacy and end its aggression, but the refusals by Russia's leadership and their desire to keep fighting are the reason the war continues.
Zelenskyy said that this year, Ukraine has reached out to Russia dozens of times with proposals to stop the war, but received only refusals in return. He also noted that Ukraine's international partners, including the United States, Türkiye, European countries, and Arab states, are working to help arrange a meeting between leaders.
"Putin has no desire to end the war," Zelenskyy added.
