Zelenskyy: Russia Prepares to Receive 30,000 More North Korean Troops and Expand Mobilization

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on X that Russia is preparing to receive another 30,000 troops from North Korea. Since June, preparations have been underway in Russia's Voronezh region to accommodate them.

Furthermore, according to Zelenskyy, North Korea is also preparing to transfer additional launchers for ballistic missiles to Russia. He noted that Russia is helping North Korea learn how to wage war and improve its weapons, posing a threat to all countries in Asia within range of North Korean missiles.

Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine is preparing to counter these threats. He also warned that Russia is preparing to expand mobilization this autumn. The president revealed that Ukrainian intelligence has detailed reports on Russia's plans for the autumn, and peace is absent from those plans. He stated that Putin is laying the groundwork for an expansion of mobilization, and his loss figures speak for themselves.

Zelenskyy noted that in just under seven months of this year, 221,000 people have joined the Russian armed forces, while Russian losses over the same period amounted to nearly 225,500, of which 131,000 have been killed and almost 93,000 wounded. A significant number of injuries are severe due to the extremely poor state of Russian frontline medical care. He added that Putin is simply getting ready to send more Russians to war, disguising it with different words and signals.

Zelenskyy called on partners to exert sufficient pressure on Russia to ensure that thoughts of ending the aggression prevail – thoughts of peace, not additional Russian mobilization.
