Zelenskyy: Russia fired 62 missiles at Ukraine in one week, most ballistic
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia struck 13 Ukrainian oblasts over the past week using more than 1,550 attack drones, nearly 1,560 guided bombs and 62 missiles. Overnight and morning strikes on 16 August killed three people, including in Kryvyi Rih and Sumy.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Russian forces attacked 13 oblasts across Ukraine over the past week, deploying more than 1,550 attack drones, nearly 1,560 guided aerial bombs and 62 missiles.
According to the president, most of the 62 missiles used were ballistic missiles of various types.
Casualties across regions
Zelenskyy said six people were injured in Kyiv and the surrounding oblast as a result of overnight and morning attacks on 16 August. In Kryvyi Rih, two people were killed and 14 injured. One more person died in Sumy.
Kyiv, Kremenchuk and Kryvyi Rih all came under ballistic missile fire during the night.
The president called on Ukraine's partners to strengthen the country's air defence and supply additional interceptor missiles.
