Zelenskyy to decide on Gdańsk conference attendance on Monday, says foreign minister
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will decide on June 22 whether to attend the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gdańsk, amid controversy after Poland stripped him of an award.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha announced that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will make a decision on Monday regarding his participation in the Ukraine Recovery Conference, scheduled for June 25–26 in Gdańsk, Poland.
During a national newscast, Sybiha stated that a report on the conference preparations would be presented to the president on Monday. "We will report to the president of Ukraine on Monday regarding preparedness for the Ukraine Recovery Conference, the consequences of various decisions and the modalities of its organisation. Based on that, the president will make a decision," he said.
Meanwhile, Polish Sejm Speaker Włodzimierz Czarzasty expressed doubt that Zelenskyy would attend, given the current controversy. The controversy stems from a decision by Polish President Karol Nawrocki on June 19 to revoke Zelenskyy's Order of the White Eagle. Nawrocki's action was in response to Ukraine naming a military unit after the Heroes of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA). Nawrocki stated that Poland would not allow EU accession for those who fail to renounce a "cult of totalitarianism and violence."
