Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced new decisions and personnel changes to speed up the implementation of key initiatives in the defense of Ukrainian airspace. According to the president's statement on social media following a meeting with military leaders, steps, solutions, and appointments of officials have been identified to accelerate the realization of major projects. Among the mentioned initiatives are the anti-ballistic program 'Freya,' work with the United States on licenses to produce Patriot systems, and cooperation with European partners within joint programs. Further details have not been disclosed. It should be recalled that on July 16, Colonel Pavlo Yelizarov submitted his resignation from the position of deputy commander of the Air Force, citing the dismissal of Mykhailo Fedorov as defense minister. Amid protests over the dismissal of General Oleksandr Syrsky as commander-in-chief, Air Force commander Lieutenant General Anatolii Kryvonozhko stood in defense of Syrsky.
