Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced the need to renew the Cabinet of Ministers and make changes in the leadership of law enforcement agencies. The announcement came via social media, where Zelensky stated that Ukraine is changing its political strategy. Each priority foreign policy direction will now be led by a specific person with significant experience.
Priority Directions
The president highlighted several key areas: relations with the United States, including licenses for Patriot production and other security cooperation; the European anti-ballistic missile project; EU accession; relations with neighboring states, especially Poland and Hungary; cooperation with Middle East and Gulf countries; relations with China; and key international organizations.
Zelensky also emphasized the need to intensify work in frontline and border regions, increase the supply of weapons and drones to the army, prepare for winter, accelerate the transformation of state-owned companies, and implement recovery agreements with partners.
Personnel Changes
Zelensky said that personnel changes will begin to implement the updated strategy. He discussed details with Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko. Both sides agreed that the Cabinet of Ministers needs to be renewed. The president thanked Svyrydenko for her clear, stable, and effective work as prime minister and her years of results in the team, offering her to lead a new significant direction in relations with a key partner.
Zelensky expressed hope that together with parliament, the necessary government replacements will be carried out. He also announced changes in the leadership of law enforcement agencies but did not specify which officials would be affected.
