Zelensky Meets with Shmyhal, Klymenko, and Fedorov After Koretskyi
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday, July 12, met with Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, and Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, following talks with Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko and Naftogaz head Serhiy Koretskyi. Discussions focused on energy protection, defense transformation, and potential candidates for prime minister.

On Sunday, July 12, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky continued consultations with top officials on energy and security issues.
After meeting with Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko, who announced she would step down to take a new role with a key partner, and Naftogaz head Serhiy Koretskyi, the president met with Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal. The conversation emphasized the need for new and more decisive steps to protect energy and strategic infrastructure. Zelensky noted that intergovernmental agreements are strong but insufficient, and focus is needed in the coming weeks and months to implement them.
During the meeting with Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, urgent challenges and additional resources for state tasks were discussed. Later, a meeting with Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov was reported. Zelensky said that the transformation of Ukraine's defense forces must continue to support soldier motivation and provide combat brigades with personnel.
The president also met with Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov. They discussed cooperation between central and local authorities, community needs, and resilience plans. Terekhov's experience in Kharkiv could be replicated in other cities.
Earlier, it was announced that Svyrydenko is leaving the prime minister's post to lead a new significant direction in relations with a key partner. According to media reports, possible prime ministerial candidates include Koretskyi, Shmyhal, Fedorov, and Terekhov.
